Go-kart racing was a good starting point for many of today's top race car drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Michael Andretti and Michael Schumacher. They all built up their skills by racing go-karts and now they have progressed in to the world of professional racing. These drivers and more have started when they were the ages of 4, 5 and 6. Now, they are winning championships in Nascar, Cart, and Formula One. Other drivers' that these guys race with also come from the go-kart racing background. Some choose not to race go-karts and end up quitting their chosen field of racing.
